To the wonderful residents of Amity Township, Venango Township and the Wattsburg Borough. We first off want to send a special “Thank You” to the members of the Wattsburg Hose Company (WHC). We thank those women and men that dedicate a lot of their personal time to help and serve the members of our communities. They spend many hours ensuring our safety and we truly appreciate all past, current and future members.
The WHC would like to invite all members of the communities they serve to a Meet & Greet event. This is a great opportunity to interact with our selfless volunteers, see the newly painted ambulance and take part in a Q&A with our new Chief and Board members. Some of the Supervisors and Council Members of your communities will be attending as well. Additionally, we would like to discuss the new direction that the WHC is headed in with the help from the municipalities, discuss plans on how to help the communities and ask for ways to improve.
We are also opening it up to community members to help the WHC, it’s not just responding to 911 calls and putting out fires. “Behind the scenes” help is just as important and can be as simple as participating in fundraising events. No volunteer job is too big or too small and we are always looking for fresh ideas to help raise money to ensure continued service to the members of the communities.
Please come join us on Sunday, October 6th from 11AM-2PM for Smiths hot dogs, snacks and drinks to see for yourself the new direction of the WHC with new Chief Brad McCray and Board members. Come show the support for all our local volunteers of the WHC who help respond to the calls for our community.
